What has this Warrior been up to on the quest for world peace?
A lot has happened since my last blog, and it feels like now I’ve put the intention out there to be active in doing even the tiniest thing towards world peace the theme is spreading, and I’m being offered opportunities to step up and walk my talk. (My knees are shaking and knocking together).
Ive been asked to join a group called The Triple A community at present it’s an online community but Wendy Harrrington it’s founder, a lovely lady and a friend of mine, wants to expand it into a physical community. With the intention of creating a peace movement. I am going to be a part of it’s expansion, so watch this space for news on that one.
This evening at 7.30 ( Tuesday 24th November) my niece Beccy and I are doing a live chat the title of which is World Peace – One Relationship at a Time. A lovely man named Gavin Presman has helped us to be able to do this, thanks Gav! I would love you to be there, if you can’t make it there will be a recording. THE LINK TO THE RECORDING
It seems I’ve got to get out of my comfort zone and share what I’ve seen with the world. This became clear to me at the weekend during the retreat I was running with the lovely Les Elms, I’ve never been in such a beautiful space of love and peace, and it would have been very easy to believe that it had something to do spending an awesome weekend away, in a beautiful place, with some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet, but I know it had nothing to do with anything outside of me. In fact circumstances outside of us don’t cause our feelings at all, thought in the moment is where that comes from.
Many people in the world never know that and spend endless time looking for perfect outside of themselves, when they already have it within them, it was a gift they were born with and one they can never loose, it can just look like we have at times.
That was the theme of the brilliant weekend, ‘Breathe life into your relationships’ we started by doing some transformational breathing, and then moved on to exploring the understanding of Three Simple Spiritual Principles, looking at our feelings, where they come from, what they mean, and the implications of misunderstanding these things.
There were no words to describe the depth of the beautiful feeling I was in, and as that feeling seemed to be a common thread among most of us, it was easy to get lost in the invisible nature of thought, and buy into the misunderstanding that we so often fall prey to, we looked out of the windows and the sun was shinning, we looked around us and the scenery was breath taking, the buildings were centuries old and had charm and character, feeling good seemed easy in that moment, and seemed to be a product of all these lovely things. I actually wanted it to be, until I realised how perfect the system behind life is and how our freedom to be in these exact same feelings wherever we are and whatever we are doing means that nothing outside of us has the power to make us feel anything.
This truth is what frees us from the effects of other people, the stress of life, and the up and down nature of the world we live in, it is the place from within each and everyone of us that world peace is born, because nobody who is feeling this connection could commit a violent act, and even more important nobody who is feeling this connection would believe that anyone else had the power to harm them. The true understanding of this is life changing and with each life that changes we become a step nearer to no more bloodshed, bombs, small children being robbed of their mothers and fathers……
